MacBook Air

最新的MacBook Air上星期到手，真係快過我用左7年的iBook好多。7年間電腦技術真係好多改變，Apple逐漸捨棄Optical Drive、資料傳送愈黎愈依賴internet(iCloud)及無線技術(AirDrop)，傳統HDD由SDD取代。CPU亦經歷幾代，由PowerPC G4到今日的Core i5，新的Thunderbolt可能慢慢取代Firewire，內置SD卡插槽亦印證SD卡的普及。
其實我部iBook用黎平時上網、email、普通文書工作都無問題，即使係行Photoshop CS都可以用到，係睇youtube或行Flash時唔順。不過最大問題係舊電，最多只用到一粒鐘。唔知部MacBook Air粒電又可以捱到幾多年先要換呢。

iBook reborn

我部iBook用左6年有多，之前試過換電池(免費)同埋換LCD Panel的接線(保養期內)，一兩年前整爛左機身邊的I/O Panel，直到今年7月先o係iFixit訂零件，順便訂埋一隻膠腳，另外再買個5400rpm 的Harddisk換走個(我覺得)老化的4200轉Harddisk。7月31號一早身痕拆機，過程尚算順利，但我發現有部份鏍絲扭唔緊，其中有一粒直頭無左，懷疑係上手維修時D師傅無手尾。前後花左大約兩粒鐘，之後再用一粒鐘裝番個Tiger。換左harddisk後係爽左D，尤其是轉換唔同application時。其實我有諗過換埋條RAM, 但一條1Gb DDR 要成400蚊，而換出黎條512MB又無用，最後決定慳番，留番D錢等行Core i3的Macbook Pro 13"或 Macbook Air。

5 years

It has been 5 years since my first post on this blog. I am still using my 6230i, I still don't have a personal website, and as you can see, my attention is no longer on this blog.

Much have happened in this 5-year, more good coffee bean/ground are available now; I have started drinking wine, probably since 2008; iPhone has revolutionized the whole industry, it is hard to get a nice mobile phone without touch screen; I haven't been using my portaPro for years as the ear-paddings have weared out, and I can't find a suitable replacement (PX100's padding) yet.

I could have use this blog to talk about what I have drank, coffee, wine, whisky, beer and the gadgets I have tried, grinders, glass, cork remover etc. But no, I have been, still am, too lazy.
